January Happening’s

This month has provided a slow start to the new year, to say the least. With both Mercury and Mars retrograde, much has felt like it’s moving backward, or simply not moving at all. Planning, communication, and vision casting have taken a bit of a hiatus for the first three weeks of this month. Mars is the planet of energy, action, and desire. Though we may have felt the creative energy at the end of last year, in terms of setting seeds of intention and goals for the year ahead, much of our ability to take meaningful action towards those goals has been on pause until this week. The astrology forecast for the week of January 23, brings with it some lovely energy, and for all intents and purposes feels like the official start to 2023. I am absolutely feeling this beautiful shift towards more peaceful energy as the Sun trines Mars this week. I feel reenergized to tackle my to-do lists head-on and take meaningful action toward the bigger goals I have set for this year.

One of those goals is beginning to invest in real estate. This has been something I have been toying with internally for years and am finally reaching a place where I feel fully deserving of calling in an investment property. I have been soaking up all the insights from the Bigger Pocket’s podcasts, and this episode in particular got me excited about finally purchasing a home with investment potential. The past six months were all about understanding my Shadow, and reprogramming limiting beliefs that were telling me I wasn’t smart enough, or wise enough with money to begin investing in real estate. These limiting beliefs were absolutely holding me back in 2022 from pursuing this goal. I feel grateful to now have a new perspective on my talents and expertise and how I am uniquely positioned to bring something new into the world through interior design, and real estate investing. If you find yourself feeling stuck, or in a bit of a rut I challenge you to turn inward. A journey of self-discovery will illuminate your deeper purpose and unique gifts. If you ever need someone to talk to about finding your place of true deservingness I am always here to talk and would love a coffee chat virtually or in person.

Another incredible resource if you’re feeling disconnected from yourself, or uninspired, is Rick Ruben’s new book; The Creative Act: A Way of Being. This book is single-handedly reshaping my perspective on what it means to be an artist, and how creativity is intricately woven into our embodied, human experience. The connections Rick draws between creativity and spirituality resonate on a soul level. He writes with simplicity and poses the view that everyone is inherently a creative being, simply by being human. I couldn’t recommend this book more, definitely a must-read.

Lastly, the mood board above is a vision board of sorts for the month of January and the year ahead. I want to connect more deeply to my highest Self, deepen friendships, explore self-expression through fashion and interiors, and generally just get more in tune with my intuition as a means of moving towards the things that truly light me up. I hope the rest of this month brings with it a spark of inspiration, and the energy needed to move toward your goals.

x, Madi

the true instrument is you.
And through you,
the universe that surrounds us
all comes into focus.”
