Meet the Newt in Somerset, a stunning, working country estate in South West England. Situated on acres of woodland, gardens, farmland, and orchards this British hotel is not to be missed.
This week I stumbled upon the Newt, a working country estate in Somerset, England, and was instantly inspired. This particular estate was first built in 1687 and was home to the Hobhouse family for two centuries before eventually becoming what is now known as the Newt in Somerset. I am instantly drawn to a place with history. There is something so romantic about imagining the many lives lived and the countless stories the estate holds. They offer a special package for the holidays and now I’m dreaming up a way to spend Christmas on the property one of these years. In the meantime, I’ll just continue to steep myself in the beautiful imagery until I can walk the grounds and take it in, in person.
