Upstate NY | Potential Next Move
A couple of weeks ago I ventured out to New York for a week-long visit and cannot express how beautiful it was. We visited with the intent of exploring more of the state to see if it resonated as a place we would want to move to, and it definitely ticked more than a few boxes on my list of where I would like to live.
New York this time of year is brimming with stunning fall colors and crisp weather and was the perfect getaway to welcome the shift of the season. I traveled with my partner and a couple friend of ours. We spent two days in New York then rented a car and spent four days exploring upstate New York. We spent time in New Paltz, Poughkeepsie, Accord, Hudson, and Buffalo. I had a lingering suspicion that I would like upstate, but once we got there it far exceeded my expectations. Each town we explored felt distinct and was filled with so much character. Below are a few images from the trip. Our stay at Inness in Accord felt like a dream. The property itself was so thoughtfully designed, and being upgraded to the Grand King Cabin free of charge, was the loveliest surprise.
